When Laura Eagan opened Estrella Cabinetry and Design Center in 2015, her mission was to create the perfect mix between the remodeling industry and the interior design community. Working together with homeowners, interior designers, and homebuilders for any type of kitchen or bath project—her goal is simple, large or small, do it right.
Laura’s dad was a home woodworker, and some of Laura’s earliest memories go back to watching him in his workshop. He’s the one who introduced Laura to the world of This Old House with Bob Vila and Norm Abrams and she grew to love tagging along with him to the hardware store every weekend. Those early experiences inspired Laura and sparked her passion for designing kitchens and bathrooms.
On the design side, Laura has a deep understanding of color theory and how to make a kitchen and bath remodel not only look fantastic, but to make the space practical and functional for the homeowner. As a contractor, her expertise is in the processes and tools—everything from the foundation to the roof, including plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems.
During Laura’s career, she has earned credentials as a Certified Kitchen and Bath Designer (CKBD) through the National Kitchen and Bath Association, and as a Certified Living in Place Professional (CLIPP), which allows her to assess a home for the needs of the Aging In Place community. Laura is a member of the Advisory Council for Kitchen and Bath Business (KBB), one of the industry’s largest trade publications. For 2022, Laura has been invited to teach a new class in advanced kitchen and bath design for the Interior Design program at Scottsdale Community College. As an adjunct instructor, Laura will be helping guide a new generation of designers to bring the very best skills and aesthetic solutions to their future clients.
Estrella Cabinetry and Design Center has also received numerous industry honors, which can be viewed on the Awards page.
While Laura and her team have dedicated their heart and soul to building Estrella Cabinetry and assisting clients with their dream living spaces, life away from work revolves around relationships with her husband, Kevin, children, grandchildren, and an amazing group of friends.
We cannot forget about the dogs! Tessy, Misty and Fred are ‘kids’ to Kevin and Laura. Occasionally you will see a dog—or three—in the showroom! Laura’s idea of a perfect day off revolves around traveling, enjoying the beach, experimenting in the kitchen, or sitting by a fire pit in upstate New York—always creating memories and recharging for her next project.
